So, would you all like to see the swap cards I received at the Edmonton Regionals? I've been kinda selfish, hoarding them in my craft area. Terribly sorry. Really, I am! You'd think that raising 4 boys would help me out in the sharing department! OK, here's the first of the lot...

Technique Club Fun...

I cannot believe it's almost been a month and I haven't posted the projects we did at our first Technique Club gathering! So here they are. We learned paper weaving, which I'm seeing more and more of! Enjoy!

Plenty of Pics!

I'm back! Just have to share a few photos of some of the swaps I participated in at the Edmonton Stampin' Up! Regionals last Saturday. I'll post photos of my "upline, downline, sideline" swap today and will continue with the rest another time.

Chelsey Navratil

Margaret Wilson

Rose Friesen

Jenn Webber

Aren't they GOJUS (taking a page out of Jan Tink's vocabulary!)?  A lil funny for you... Rose and my cards are very similar (maybe you noticed?!) I haven't seen the new online version of the SU Stampin' Success yet, but Rose says there's a few weaving projects in it! So her inspiration came from it, while mine came from Lynn Pratt's blog. Great minds think alike, eh Rose! No matter where the inspiration came from, I think these cards ALL turned out great!

I have many more cards to show, so stay tuned! As always, my SU demo friends are incredibly talented and diverse in their crafting. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my "up, down, and sidelines" talent!

October Kit...

This is my layout for Oct. It sounds funny to me to be saying Oct already, when we're only in the middle of Sept, but when you place your order for this, you won't receive it until Oct! (I'm still in summer mode, can you tell?) So... this kit uses new DSP from the big catalog, Big Top Birthday. Love it! The patterned paper and the banner are both from that paper pack. The daisy is a Big Shot die, Flower, Daisies #2. With a button from the Brights collection of buttons. Kinda simple, kinda fun!

Thanks to PageMaps for the layout inspiration! This is one of the Sept sketches on their site.
You will receive all the supplies needed to make this layout, as well as instructions and photo.

So, send me an email, call, or leave me a comment. I'll get the kit out to you ASAP!

Thanks for looking and have a fabulous day!

October Crop...

Hey All!

How many of you like to scrapbook? I LOVE it! And I love to get together with folks who enjoy my hobby as I do. So, every year, I plan a couple of crops...usually once in early spring and again in the fall. Well, fall is almost here. Yikes! So, I'm inviting you all to come scrap with me on Oct 7th and 8th. Yes, it is the Fri evening and Sat of the Thanksgiving wkend. It tends to work out that my hubby gets the long wkends off, so I tend to try to plan a few things around that! We'll be starting at 5pm  Fri (I won't mention what time we'll end!) and continuing on Sat from 9-9. Goody bags for all, challenges, door prizes, etc. And of course, food! It's all included in your fee. $5 for Fri night, and $40 for Sat. Come and bring your friends! This will be the 3rd Fall Crop at Kakut Lake, and I'm really looking forward to seeing you all there! If anyone is interested in camping, there is loads of room this time of year! Contact me for more details.

This is just one of the perks of scrapping on Fri night! Come see for yourself!

Spice Cake Basket Weaving

Good Day All!
I used the new Spice Cake DSP to basket weave on this card. And these new BIG buttons are so much fun! Thanks to Lynn Pratt for my inspiration! For those of you who are joining in on the fun Sept 10 at my Technique Club, this is the card we will be making, as well as a 12x12 scrapbook page, which I will post at a later date.
Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!

COOKIE STAMPS!

OK girls! This is something all you bakers out there need to be made aware of! Stampin' Up! is soon to be releasing... COOKIE STAMPS! I'm pretty excited, actually, since I love to make cookies. Sales start Oct 1st. Use your favorite shortbread recipe or use one of the 2 recipes included with the stamps. Either way, you'll end up with some yummy, kid-friendly fun that doesn't include ink ;) How cool is that?

Back at it...

Hey All!
Summer's officially over! School started yesterday, so that means a schedule for the Webber household again! I never worry about one during the summer, considering we live at a campground and there's always one more marshmallow to roast or "Another camper just pulled in with 5 kids, Mom!" Always something to keep us from our beds or mealtimes! So, since I have two boys in school full-time this year, 1 boy in playschool part-time, and 1 boy at home with Mom full-time, I need to be "scheduled"! So far, so good!

Speaking of schedules, I have a plan for this fall. All to do with scrapbooking and card-making, of course! First up will be a new Layout Kit on the 15th. Stampin' Up! has lots of fun things to play with in the new mini caty that went live today! Watch for the layout in a couple of weeks.
Then there is my SU Technique Club, which runs on the 1st Sat of each month, unless it's a holiday or something. Since school just started, we're on for the 10th this month. And we're learning about paper weaving! Contact me for more details!
On Sept 17th, my family is heading to Edmonton for SU regionals. So looking forward to being there again!
And to give you all a heads up, I'm planning another crop here at Kakut Lake! Fri, Oct 7  from 5pm on. And Sat, Oct 8 from 9-9. Cost is $5 for Fri and $40 for Sat! Goodies for everyone, with meals provided, etc. Again, contact me for more info!

   Enjoy your day!
